Excellent Arm Exercises

If people want to encourage the size of their upper biceps muscle considerably, then they should seem no more than the preacher curl. Making powerful arms is significant to make your day easier, but many people seem to expect their arms to pick up anything and everything without ever making an effort to develop and strengthen the muscles. While you can go through life without building arm muscle, think about how much easier it is when you do. You'll be able to pick up your child and not worry about being strong enough. Don't forget about the nice side benefit of having lean, shapely arms.

Stretching- It's important to warm up your body before any physical activity. Warming up goes a long way toward preparing the body for exercising, It also helps prevent injuries. While sitting or standing, reach up over your head with one arm at time and gently stretch for about 10 seconds, and then release the stretch. You should then do the same move with both arms overhead together.

Dumbbell Curl- Dumbbell curl is a great bicep exercise for hitting each bicep muscle individually. Bring up the weights to chest level by bending your elbows and then lower the weights in a controlled manner back to the starting position. Start out with 8 repetitions and work your way up to 16 repetitions.

Reverse Curl- Reverse curl exercise works both the bicep and forearm muscles. A variation on the Dumb Bell Curl is the Reverse Curl. The Reverse Curl is basically the same movement as the Dumb Bell Curl, but you should start out with your knuckles facing away from your body. This exercise helps to work the forearms.

Push-Ups- The push-up is the ultimate barometer of fitness. It tests the whole body, engaging muscle groups in the arms, chest, abdomen, hips, and legs. With your arms straight and elbows slightly bent, and hands and knees touching the ground, lower yourself to the ground so that your chest is about 4 or 5 inches from the floor. Raise yourself back up to the starting position again.
